| I am an ex-club racer who raced rivers and open ocean. I have been paddling for close to 35 years. My first real kayak was a Perception Dancer and my very first kayak was a Sevylor Inflatable tandem. I am still a bit competitive today when I'm paddling with my friends but mostly enjoy cruising and being out in the open sea or anywhere my friends go. I own a few Glass/Kevlar, Wood, plastic and carbon fiber kayaks. One for every particular paddle. My friends and I paddle almost every Friday and some Saturdays as well. My favorite places to paddle are Shell Beach, Avila, Morro Bay and along San Simeon. Out in the open sea with large swells is where I get my adrenalin rush... | When it comes to buying pre-owned kayaks I look for good quality boats that need very little prep work to make them look suitable for sales. I have made repairs with plastic and fiberglass and have had kayak hulls repainted. They generally look very good-new when I offer them for sale. I sell singles, doubles, and sometimes triples and quads. Occasionally I may offer trailers and kayaks together as packages. Sit-on-tops, closed deck and fishing kayaks are all usually in my inventory. | |
